The Carolina Crusaders Organization houses two semi-professional basketball teams here in the midlands. The Carolina Crusaders compete in the East Coast Basketball League which is the home for 16 teams across four states: North Carolina, Georgia, South Carolina and Virginia.

Of the Carolina Crusaders six years of existence, they've competed in the ECBL for five. In 2017, the Carolina Crusaders Organization expanded to add a women's team, which would end up winning the Women's East Coast Basketball League (WECBL) championship in 2018.

This weekend, the Lady Crusaders return to defend their title. This Saturday, June 29 your Lady Crusaders will play at 5:00 pm at Ben Lippen School! The winners of the semifinals will clash in the championship game on Sunday at 3:00 pm at Glenforest School!
